About the Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive Business Support Officer to provide high-standard administrative and business support to our operational teams and depots. As a key member of the SprayLine Road Services (SRS) branch, you will play a vital role in ensuring the communities we serve have safe, drivable roads.

You will work closely with Works Supervisors and Team Leaders, acting as a central point of contact for operational staff and ensuring our daily business functions run seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Administrative Management: Processing timesheets, overtime, and allowances, alongside managing local facilities and fleet administration.
  • Financial Support: Handling labour costing, invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and corporate card record keeping.
  • Procurement: Ordering materials, uniforms, and operational supplies, and assisting with stocktakes and asset disposals.
  • Depot Operations: Maintaining a physical presence at depots to accept deliveries, verify quality/quantities, and provide reception services.
  • Team Support: Preparing reports, spreadsheets, and meeting minutes, and assisting with recruitment paperwork and training coordination.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience: At least two years in a similar administrative or business support role, ideally within a public service context.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in MS Office, MS Teams, and SharePoint; experience with Oracle is highly desirable.
  • Adaptability: The ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly to changing priorities.
  • Communication: Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence and guide others in using digital tools.
  • Qualifications: A relevant Business or Administration certificate or diploma is preferred.

  • A valid Driver’s License.
  • Willingness to travel and work across various locations in Victoria.
